'Tis the Season...for Food.

This is the first Thanksgiving that my Husband and I will be celebrating with his family as a newly married couple down in Southern California. Although it will be a fairly short trip down, we plan on packing in as much family time and exploring around town as possble.

This weekend I'm going to make matinee reservations for us to see "Love and Other Drugs" at the movie theatre in my husband's home town. It's called Muvico. Ever heard of it? It's the Neiman Marcus of movie theatres.
Muvico has VIP seating, complimentary popcorn, a gourmet restaurant, plush love seats, a 21 and over section in the theatre, accompanied by a full bar just a stone's throw from your seats. Ridiculous right? I can't wait to try it all.
Besides that we have several mutual friends that live in the area and we hope to bump into them for coffee, lunch or drinks Friday or Saturday.
As for Thanksgiving, it's going to be a smaller crowd this year at my In-laws house, probably around 10 people. So I've decided I'm going to make a delicious appetizer that I've perfected at other dinner parties I've thrown. It's easy to make, only a few ingredients involved, and it's super tasty. The combination of the flaky, buttery crust and the salty cheese is to die for.

Happy Thanksgiving!
